Historical facts, thoughts, ramblings and collections on the Presidency and about the Presidents of the United States.

I posted the always-cool photo of our five living Presidents together on Thursday at the dedication of George W. Bush’s Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas, but forgot to post the companion photo! Here are all of our living First Ladies in Dallas with the exception of Nancy Reagan who will be 92 years old in July and no longer travels very often.
(If Hillary is ever elected President, I wonder what protocol will be at events like this for her and Bill? For most things it is easy because the incumbent President takes precedence over everyone else and then the order of precedence lists the former Presidents in chronological order of their terms. But for a photo call like this one with the spouses and the photo of all of the Presidents in order, I guess that Bill and Hillary would just be in both photos. It’s interesting to wonder about. I bet it would drive the U.S. Chief of Protocol crazy, though.)
