In your book, Tributes and Trash Talk: What Our Presidents Said About Each Other, Featuring over 350 pages of remarkable, candid quotes from our Presidents, even including Confederate President Jefferson Davis, packed with comments that are insightful, poignant, funny, bitter, shocking, and often downright mean-spirited, do you diss Texas?

I don’t know what the hang up is about me disliking Texas, but at least you got a full-fledged plug for my book in this message.

No, I don’t diss Texas in Tributes and Trash Talk.  I figured that I’d save that for Tumblr so people could whine and complain after sifting through some of the hundreds of thousands of words that I’ve written on this site — often mixed in with all of the original content, essays on various aspects of history, direct communication with my readers — that has been delivered to your dashboard for damn near five years now at no cost.  I mean, all of that writing and all of my expertise that I’ve shared with you is fine and everything, but what’s really important is when I mention that I didn’t like where I lived for a year.  That’s what it all comes down to, right?
