Well, I’m biased, of course, but even acknowledging that bias, I genuinely think that LBJ was better. JFK was a visionary and very inspirational, but he was very cautious and he also just didn’t have the chance to follow through on many of the things that he said he wanted to do. Still, JFK didn’t understand and couldn’t control the legislative process in the same way that LBJ could. Few people in American history could. But, to me, it comes down to the simple fact that JFK said things and LBJ did things.
