No! I was born during one of the non-Inauguration years — January 20, 1980, which was the day Jimmy Carter looked at his calendar in the White House and said, “Oh, I have to move in a year.” My 1st birthday was the day Ronald Reagan was sworn into office, the day Jimmy Carter went back to Georgia to start his life’s work, and the day the American hostages in Iran were freed after 444 days of captivity in Tehran.
I was born on the same day as a Super Bowl, however. A few hours after I was born, my mom recovered by watching Super Bowl XIV between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams. Yes, that would be the FOURTEENTH (14th!) Super Bowl. This year is the 47th Super Bowl. Don’t calculate the difference.
