hi! i bought your book and love it! please write more. my question is something i notice about you - is there a reason you go out of the way to write 'theodore' every time you write about teddy roosevelt?? thank you for everything you do!!

You’ve got a pretty good eye to notice that I never call Theodore Roosevelt “Teddy”.  It’s actually quite simple:  Roosevelt hated being called “Teddy”, so I don’t call him that.  If people had a nickname for me that I despised I’d be pretty bummed if they spent a century calling me by it.  It’s a minor victory, but I’m fighting the good fight on his behalf.
