About your predictions, how can you possibly have though West Virginia was going to go to Obama? I'm not criticising you it just seems like an odd prediction to make.

Yeah, that wasn’t a great call on my part.  I didn’t look at any polling in West Virginia or anything.  My thinking on it was that West Virginia’s last three Governors have been Democrats, and both of West Virginia’s Senate seats have been held by Democrats since the late-1950s.  I thought that suggested that Democrats did well in statewide elections.  And they do — just not when it comes to recent Presidential elections (the last Democrat to win West Virginia was Bill Clinton).
