Israel’s attacks on Gaza continued today as one airstrike killed nine members of a family, including five children and three women. A 5 year-old boy and his 3 year-old sister were killed by an airstrike on their home in the Jebaliya refugee camp and an 18-month-old baby was killed in a strike east of Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. There have been no Israeli deaths today and the only Israeli fatalities of the new round of violence occurred during its second day, when three adults were killed in a rocket attack on Thursday.
The Palestinian death toll inside the blockaded coastal enclave is twenty times more than the Israeli death toll: 66 Palestinians and 3 Israelis have been killed since Wednesday. More than 16 of the deaths on the Palestinian side were children and babies.
