Dead Presidents

Last night, after Santorum’s victory, I jokingly mentioned that I should run for Governor of Missouri in order to fix whatever is wrong with the people of my newly-adopted home state.  This morning, my inbox had a bunch of messages like those pictured above.

I am a good, loyal Democrat and while I’ve only lived here for six months and don’t know a lot about him, Governor Nixon seems like a fine state executive here in Missouri.  He’s seeking re-election this year and I’m fully supporting him.

But, who knows?  He is term-limited after this election, so what the hell?  Who’s down for 2016?  It might be fun.  As Calvin Coolidge said when he was asked what his thoughts were as he succeeded to the Presidency upon Warren G. Harding’s death, “I think I could swing it.”
