There should be no consequences. I didn’t agree with everything Christopher Hitchens said and wrote, but he was a thinker and this world should always mourn the loss of a brain and a voice like Hitchens possessed.
We need more intellectual power so that our discussions and debates don’t continue to get progressively dumber. It’s a shame that we’ve lost an output for some of it.
