Oh boy…the moment of truth. After weeks and weeks of doing “opposition research” and thinking, I’ve finally made a decision and you can read all about it in AND Magazine.
Here’s a taste:
Although it might seem like Democrats have a trademark on the words “hope” and “change” because of Obama’s 2008 campaign, that’s not the case. Obama is vulnerable and “change” in 2012 would have the President joining the ever-growing ranks of unemployed Americans. The problem for the Republicans is that they have a bunch of candidates who are running for the GOP nomination, and one guy — Jon Huntsman — who is running for President of the United States. Jon Huntsman can’t win the race for the GOP nomination, but he would easily win a race for President. If that’s what happens, the Republicans will nominate someone who isn’t better than Obama. Obama will be a compromise choice on Election Day, but I’ll have no problem voting for him if his opponent is Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich or Herman Cain or Ron Paul or Michele Bachmann or Rick Perry. But “change” really can happen with Jon Huntsman, and I’d vote for change if Huntsman was the Republican nominee.
Read it. Read it. These are the truest words that have been written about the GOP nomination race.
